Made in Japan, seam rippers are a necessary tool in every needleworker's basket. We personally own about 6 of these and leave them in every project/thread bag. It is simply easier than trying to hunt up the "one and only" seam ripper when I need to "reverse stitch".
Did you know that a seam ripper can be used as a "thread cutter" by changing the angle? Never use this in your hand positioned with a vertical angle causing the point to face down which will prevent slicing fabric or canvas threads. Always lift the wrongly stitched threads gently holding the ripper in a horizontal direction, no matter how aggrieved you are for using the incorrect color, stitch or thread. The shaft is steel with a resin handle.
