Garniture Trims - Part Two

Pictured today are another 3 types of our new Garniture Trims.  In selecting the trims for this line, we looked for very good basics that are welcome additions to every workbasket.  However, as you will see every now and then we found something that took our breath away.

GAR 4355 & 4352
This 100% cotton dainty trim is under ¼ inch.   The package contains 2 yards.  The edges of this lace are fairly firm, and the holes invite a variety of embellishment, from seed beads to French knots.

GAR 7443

A 100% linen fringe that is 5/8 inch in length, the package contains 2 yards.  The “natural” color of the linen will provide a wide variety of uses for both canvas work, linen, and hand appliqué embellishment. It would also be a wonderful addition to the edge of a basket. We recommend Soie 100/3 #561 to attach this to fabric, with tiny running stitches.

GAR 3114

This lace is 70% linen and 30 % nylon and is slightly over 3/8” in width.  The yarn used to make this is not bleached so there is the wonderful uneven quality to the character of the lace. While the lace itself is not hand-made, it does have a period look that polyester laces lack.  We recommend Londonderry Linen in Ivory 80/3 or 100/3 to attach this.
